The Books

UFOs and the National Security State: The Cover-Up Exposed, 1973-1991 by Richard Dolan - This book is part of a two-volume series and focuses on the relationship between UFOs and the national security state during the 1970s, '80s, and early '90s.

 

The UFO Dossier: 100 Years of Government Secrets, Conspiracies, and Cover-Ups by Kevin D. Randle - Randle, a former Air Force investigator, examines government involvement in UFO investigations and alleged cover-ups.

 

The Presidents and UFOs: A Secret History from FDR to Obama by Larry Holcombe - This book details the secret history of UFOs and the corresponding presidential administration. It examines the startling discoveries facing a president preoccupied by WWII, the explosion of UFO sightings during the Truman years, first contact during the Eisenhower administration, and the possibility of a UFO connection to the Kennedy assassination. In 1975, the Nixon administration came very close to admitting that UFOs exist by funding a documentary by Robert Emenegger.

Ford Press Releases - UFO, 1966 - This document posted by the Gerald Ford Document Museum is a series of letters and news releases written by President Gerald Ford calling for research and investigation on UFOs and other phenomena.

 

CIA's Role in the Study of UFOs, 1947-90 - This article posted by the Federation of American Scientists: Project on Government Secrecy, is about different programs that the CIA have been involved in UFO research, such as Project Sign, project GRUDGE, and Project Blue Book. It also addresses early CIA concerns like mass hysteria, the Robertson Panel, Blackbird, the Roswell Incident, and the Majestic Twelve. 

 

Project Blue Book - This document posted on the Executive Services Directorate (.mil) by the Air Force is the entire 1966 directive for Project Blue Book, which is originally a 1948 government project investigating UFOs, (also gone by the name of Project Sign, and Project GRUDGE. 

 

Do Records Show Proof of UFOs? | National Archives - This article posted by the National Archives is about some of the more interesting files found while filtering through the recently declassified documents in the archives - such as links to Project 1794, and a transcript of a conversation had by the Gemini VII. 

 

UFOs AND RELATED SUBJECTS: AN ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY - This document posted by the Defense Technical Information Center (.mil) and published by the Library of Congress is "believed to be the most comprehensive bibliography published to date (1969) on the subject, and contains the extensive UFO collection of the Library of Congress." Unidentified Flying Objects and Air Force Project Blue Book - This article posted on the Air Force (.mil) website is about the 1947-1969 Air Force investigation of UFOs under Project Blue Book. "Of a total of 12,618 sightings reported to Project Blue Book, 701 remained 'unidentified.'"

 

Malmstrom AFB Missile/UFO Incident, March 1967 - Nuclear Missile Sites go dark in March 1967.  

 

Pentagon UFO chief says alien mothership in our solar system possible - This article was posted by the Military Times about Oumuamua, the potential alien mothership in our sky.

 

DOD Working to Better Understand, Resolve Anomalous Phenomena - This article posted by the Department of Defense is discussing the new AARO initiative in which they are trying to better understand and respond to UAP. This specific week in April they were investigating 650 in total.

 

The 1975 SAC Base Northern Tier Overflights - This is a cumulative list of all sightings at the SAC Base Northern Tier in 1975, including details of each event. It is a small part of a larger report, (1975 UFO Chronology - link not working at time of this post.) 

 

Malmstrom UFO Testimonials - DocumentCloud - This is a document containing “Affidavits from four Malmstrom Air Force Base airmen who witnessed or experienced the events surrounding alleged 1960s UFO visits to missile silos in the Great Falls, Montana, area.” 

 

ANALYSIS AND ASSESSMENT OF GATEWAY PROCESS -  This is a CIA declassified document explaining Project Stargate and the Gateway Process. It discusses meditation and “hemi-syncing” as a way to control minds among other parapsychological phenomena. 

 

U.S. Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation Washington, D.C. 20535 February 21, 2020 MR. JOHN GREENEWALD JR. SUIT  - This is a declassified by the FOIA document pertaining to Operation Paperclip, and all that it entails. 

 

The Bowen Manuscript - This is 14 pages of the Encyclopedia of Flying Saucers that was classified as “TOP SECRET/MAJIC”, and was declassified due to the FOIA.

 

Operation Majestic 12 (MJ-12 Documents) - This links to a page containing all of the Operation Majestic 12 case files found in the Ronald Regan Library. 


Project BLUE BOOK - Unidentified Flying Objects | National Archives - This National Archives page is a full summary of the most important of the Project Blue Book cases. It includes general informal, a reference report, a short summary of most events with a more elaborate summary of each Majestic-12 and the Roswell Incident.

U.F.O. FILES: THE UNTOLD STORY | CIA FOIA (foia.cia.gov) - This is an article posted by the New York Times on October 14th, 1974. It is about how though the government has denied that UFOs are being taken seriously, yet declassified documents are telling a different story - calling it “extensive concern.”

 

More than 270 UFO sightings reported over 8 months, Pentagon says - CBS News - This is a video news segment explaining that between August 2022 and April 2023, there were 270+ UFO sightings to be reported to the Pentagon. They claim that sightings are classified due to the secrecy of instruments used to detect them.

 

UFO Sightings Map - This is an interactive map of all reported UFO events from 1910-2014, including information on each report. 

 

Alien motherships: Pentagon official floats a theory for unexplained sightings - POLITICO - This article is about the space object Oumuamua, which Harvard professor Loeb called a potential “parent craft,” that is releasing “dandelion seeds.” 

 

NASA to set up independant study on UAP - The study will focus on identifying available data, how best to collect future data, and how NASA can use that data to move the scientific understanding of UAPs forward. 

 

NASA sheds light on UFO sightings and unidentified aerial phenomena - This article posted by Open Access is about the NASA public meeting discussing their findings from investigations of public UFO sightings. Of the 800 submissions, 2-5% were found to be truly anomalous. 

 

Hundreds more UFO sightings included in latest report - CBS News - This article is about the 400 new cases added to the catalog of the office of tracking reports - a significant rise from the 2021 report of 144.

 

Former missile officer: UFO whistleblower demonstrates ‘tremendous courage’ | News, Sports, Jobs - Minot Daily News - This article posted by Minot Daily News is about crew commander Schindele, (involved in the ICBM incident of 1966,) and his appreciation and gratitude towards whistleblower David Grusch for his coming forward about disclosure.

 

120 UFO Sightings In CA So Far In 2023: Find Out Where | Across California, CA Patch - This article was posted by Patch a few days before National UFO day, and is about the total number of sightings in California from January to June of 2023, of which there are said to be 120. It links to several other articles that include photographic evidence of events, and discussed the Pentagon and Grusch trials.

They decide that the risk is far greater than the reward, and that these theories do more harm than good.

It demonstrates that any science doubt surrounding unidentified flying objects and aliens was not primarily due to the ignorance of ufologists about science, but rather a product of the respective research practices of and relations between ufology, the sciences, and government investigative bodies." 

 

NASA Wants to Make UFO Studies a Real Science - Scientific American - This article posted by Scientific American discusses NASA's newly appointed Director of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Research, Mark McInerney. 

 

Physical Constraints on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena - This paper written by Abraham (Avi) Loeb and Sean M. Kirkpatrick and posted by Harvard is about the “physical constraints on interpretations of ‘highly maneuverable’ Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) based on standard physics and known forms of matter and radiation. In particular, we show that the friction of UAP with the surrounding air or water is expected to generate a bright optical fireball, ionization shell and tail - implying radio signatures.” It goes into particular detail on the craft Oumuamua, and the potential of it being a craft or some kind of Mothership. 

 

The Pentagon's UAP Task Force - This research report written by Franc Milburn is about the unveiling of UAPTF (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force,) and AATIP (Advance Aerospace Threat Identification Program.) It tries to answer questions such as what these technologies are, where they came from, and what kind of threats they pose. Most importantly, it dives into the question of what we are not being told. 

 

UFOs Won't Go Away - This article posted by Issues in Science and Technology is about the history of UFOs and the disclosure movement through the Government. It discusses topics such as Luis Elizando’s story, Roswell, and the 1966, Walter Cronkite (“the most trusted man in America”) hour-long CBS special report titled UFO: Friend, Foe, or Fantasy - along with multiple others.
