Our Flag Means Death
I pledge allegiance,
To the flag,
To the Red White and Blue
Façade.
To the stars and the stripes,
Under God we stand,
but when we fall -
our Flag means Death.
The stripes no longer White, and Red -
Not Pure and Independent.
Stars uniting a Nation.
Instead -
White and Black,
with a thin blue line,
Star studded
with school children
dead.
Kneel in the streets and beg for grace in vain.
(Titus Andronicus : 1:1 : 464)
Our flag means death
by Media
when a sitting President can,
Ensue a riot on the Capital
Will be wild -
His stance.
Against his very own
Second in Command.
This all after lies on lies -
scandal after scandal -
Evasion , Fraud , Theft , and Rape.
And yet, His People
still fall for this ape…
He stands for our Flag.
Our Flag Means Death.
Alas, a crimson river of warm blood, Like to a bubbling fountain stirred with wind
(Titus Andronicus : 2:4 : 22-23)
Our flag means death
For those of us with
tender dahlia buds
between our legs.
But here - instead - the red
is dripping
blood.
The white stripes,
of Purity and Innocence
are forcefully taken for sport.
The stars,
our rights,
under city lights,
disappearing from the source.
My Body ; My Choice -
is not for all
when
your Flag means Death.
She is a woman, therefore may be wooed: She is a woman, therefore may be won.
(Titus Andronicus : 2:1 : 86-87)
Our flag means death
for all of us
residing in this country
That Boasts and Brags of
Baring Arms
with no end
to gun violence.
We’re “Free to Speak,”
but not too loud
and not against religion.
Though religion too,
is “Free” to us -
as long as you are Christian.
The “Freedoms” too
of Assembly
and of the Press -
as long as it is fiction spouted ;
to discriminate,
hurt and oppress.
Vengeance is in my heart, death in my hand, Blood and revenge are hammering in my head.
(Titus Andronicus : 2:3 : 38-39)
